Description

As a bartender at Slackwater, you will be responsible for crafting and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a clean and organized bar area.

This is a new Slackwater location set to open on April 28th in the Provo/Riverwoods area. If hired, you will be expected to complete five days of training the week of April 21. Training sessions will be held in the AM and PM.

Position Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Bartending experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of various types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and bar equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Possess basic math skills for cash handling.
  Licensures & Certifications
  
  The following license and/or certifications are required and must be kept current throughout employment.
  
• Utah Food Handlers certification (must obtain within 14 days of hire date)
• Utah Sips & Tips certification (must obtain prior to first day of work)
• Cicerone Beer Server certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire date)
• Slackwater Beer Knowledge certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire date)
  Key Responsibilities
  
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes or customer preferences. Ensure the presentation and quality of each drink meets our standards.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to all guests. Take drink orders, make recommendations, and handle special requests with professionalism.
• Comply with all state and federal identification procedures for purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory. Restock supplies as needed, and report any shortages or issues to the Bar Manager.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area. Ensure all glassware, utensils, and equipment are clean and properly stored. Ensure all bar tops are clean.
• Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale and consumption of alcohol. Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and manage tabs. Provide change and receipts as required.
• Engage with patrons, create a welcoming atmosphere, and handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or accidents to the on-duty manager immediately.
