Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Cuisine to lead our elevated hotel restaurant and lobby bar operations. This role oversees a culinary team that delivers exceptional dining experiences in The Salt Republic and Contribution Bar. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and guest experience while fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Culinary Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of Salt Republic and Contribution Bar, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes that align with Hyatt brand standards.
• Menu Development: Design and innovate seasonal menus, incorporating local ingredients and culinary trends while also being approachable to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Team Management: Manage hourly kitchen employees through effective scheduling, payroll oversight, training, coaching, evaluation, and hiring.
• Food Quality Control: Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations, ensuring the highest quality in food preparation and presentation.
• Cost Management: Monitor food and labor costs, implementing efficient practices to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and the food and beverage management team to create cohesive dining experiences and promote restaurant events and specials.
• Guest Engagement: Interact with guests to gather feedback and foster a welcoming atmosphere, addressing any concerns or special requests.
• Marketing: Participate in marketing meetings and events related to Salt Republic and Contribution.

  Qualifications:
  
  • Goal and results based self-driven leader
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a similar culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a commitment to excellence.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
