The Automation Engineer III ensures successful completion of both
company and client objectives at the project level. The primary
focus of Automation Engineer III is to lead quality design,
development, installation and fulfillment of processes and systems
utilized for project execution.
Primary Job Functions
- Leads and participates in design and development of automation
systems.
- Tests, troubleshoots, and provides solutions for technical
problems and team members.
- Manages technical related tasks with internal team
members.
- Leads project tasks in design, development, testing,
installation, commissioning, project closure and
inspections/reporting.
- Interfaces with the client / vendor on project technical
requirements.
- Leads overall compliance and quality of projects.
- Responsible for delivery of all project tasks within allotted
project budget.
- Contributes to project scope and budget development.
- Provides project level consultancy and client service.
- Leads the following project tasks:
- Project Kickoff
- System Design / Procurement
- Programming / Configuration
- FAT
- SAT / Commissioning
- Close-out Documentation
Secondary Job Functions:
- Ability to fulfill the role of Automation Engineer II.
- Maintains awareness of future opportunities at client
facilities and informs management.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and preferred 5 years of
Automation or Controls related experience (includes relevant intern
or co-op).
- Experience should include a minimum of 2 years of leading
automation tasks within a team.
- Technical Expert of multiple automation system platforms
including DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA and other applicable
systems.
- Experience in implementing solutions based on industry
standards (ISA, NFPA, NEC).
- Ability to obtain ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP -)
certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal transportation with valid liability
insurance.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Available for after-hour, weekend and holidays.
- Available for overnight and extended travel.
